Life is a journey of hills and valleys and even with the best laid plans we can be sidelined by circumstances that we cannot control. We live in a society of plans, planning for school, planning for careers, planning for family. But no one ever plans for tragedy. Several years ago a deadly disease came to my house and stayed for 5 terrifying years and when it left, it took my husband. It was a diagnosis that changed my life. I was left with a small baby and a young son. I was devastated. I went from a confident happy person, to a weak depressed individual struggling to get through each day. Years passed before I came to realize that I was wasting precious time. Each day that I opened my eyes was another chance for me to claim the gift of life that God has given to each of us. I realized that I could no longer remain broken. It was time for me to put aside my fears, take charge of my life, and Get Busy Living!
